Posted on February 12, 2024

PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Fire Department and The Parks & Recreation Department each recently received a $2000 donation from American Legion Post 93.  Post 93 out of Mission is a veteran’s organization that helps the community by offering scholarships and donations to improve the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, the military, and communities.

The post under the leadership of Commander Rodolfo Flores and Vice Commander J.J. Garza fundraise yearly for this purpose as the mission of the American Legion is to be helpful.

This year, the City of Palmview benefited from its generosity by selecting both the Fire Department and our Parks & Recreation Departments to receive the monetary help.

The donations were presented to the departments during the City Council Meeting of February 6.

The City of Palmview sends out a huge thank you to American Legion Post 93 for its generosity.
