PALMVIEW, Texas- Many people have been impacted because of food price increases throughout the country and may need a little help purchasing a turkey this year. That’s why the City of Palmview and Wonderful Citrus have partnered to help residents in the community have a traditional holiday meal this Thanksgiving.
The City and Wonderful Citrus will hold a drive-thru turkey distribution on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2 p.m. to distribute 120 turkeys to Palmview residents. The distribution will be held at the Palmview Gym located at 406 W. Veterans Boulevard behind City Hall. The entrance will be through Palmview Commercial Drive. The turkeys will be distributed on a first come basis and only two families per vehicle will be permitted.
In addition, the City and Wonderful Citrus will deliver 30 turkeys along with donated canned goods to local student families nominated by their schools. A caravan with elected officials and volunteers will join Palmview Police and Fire make these deliveries on the same afternoon.
The City of Palmview is extremely grateful to Wonderful Citrus for the donation of the turkeys and its partnership to help the community.
