PALMVIEW, Texas- The City of Palmview is pleased to announce the start of a new and improved waste service system for residents. Beginning on October 1, 2023, the city will begin collecting residential trash and brush.
The City of Palmview recently purchased a fleet of trash and brush trucks along with 4500 trash containers to begin the new city service.
Days of collections, routes, and prices will remain the same. The only change residents will see is the new green containers with the City of Palmview Logo and the new city trucks.
Mayor Rick Villarreal says the city has been working hard to offer this necessary and essential service and he’s happy that the project has come to fruition. “We are excited about our new waste collection service for the citizens of Palmview. We will continue to provide for a better quality of life for all of our residents.”
City staff will begin delivering the new trash containers to our residential customers on Monday, August 28. There will be no interruption to services while the city takes over the collection operations.
For the time being, Republic Services will continue to provide our commercial service and those routes will also remain the same.
