PALMVIEW, Texas-The Palmview City Council recently recognized the men and women who work as dispatchers for the City. Public Safety Telecommunicators or dispatchers are the first and most critical contact our citizens have when emergencies occur.
They are also a vital link for our police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel by monitoring their activities by radio, providing them with information, and ensuring their safety.
Mayor Ricardo Villarreal and the City Council honored them with a proclamation that was presented during the meeting of April 16 thanking them for the compassion, understanding, and professionalism that they demonstrate while performing their jobs.
The Mayor and Councilmembers thanked them for a job well done stating that their hard work has contributed substantially to the apprehension of criminals, suppression of fires, and treatment of patients.
