PALMVIEW, Texas- The City of Palmview has partnered with Workforce Solutions as the quest continues to serve as an essential community resource center. Starting on July 16, 2024, the new Workforce Solutions Corner at the Library will help people looking for a job.
The space equipped with six new computers provided by Workforce Solutions will allow people to search the Workforce website to view job postings, apply for jobs, spruce up their resumes, and participate in online training.
Since the library opened in March of this year, the goal has been to create a location where visitors can do more than just check out a book. This partnership goes a long toward achieving that goal as it will provide opportunities to gain employment.
The Library already provides weekly Citizenship Classes and will soon offer GED courses in addition to the daily children’s programs, and arts & crafts classes for adults.
The ribbon cutting for the new Workforce Solutions Corner will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at 10 a.m. inside the Palmview Municipal Library located at 505 Palmview Commercial Drive.
