Palmview Police to Hand Out School Supplies During Annual National Night Out Event
PALMVIEW, Texas-The City of Palmview and the Palmview Police Department are gearing up for the annual National Night Out celebration. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the national event. NNO promotes police-community partnerships and focuses on raising awareness by working together.
National Night Out began as a means for people to come out of their homes and meet their neighbors to create a more secure place to live.
This year the Palmview Police Department has once again joined with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to provide a greater opportunity for residents to get to know the people protecting them.
The free event will be held on Wednesday, August 9 from 6-9 p.m. inside the Palmview Municipal Park located at 613 Palmview Commercial Drive. It will include music, food vendors, games, and school supplies including backpacks.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by to meet their local officers and to visit the City of Palmview booth for free books and to provide ideas for a new proposed park for the city.
The free school items will be available while supplies last.
