Palmview to Hold Amnesty Program in April

Posted on March 27, 2023

PALMVIEW, Texas-The City of Palmview is offering residents a two-week period to take care of outstanding tickets without being arrested.  It’s part of the Police Department’s Amnesty Program to clear Palmview Municipal Class C Warrants.

Individuals who participate in the amnesty program still need to pay the original fine but avoid the added fees for failure to appear and the warrant.  During this two-week period, individuals can also make payment arrangements with the court for the original fine.

The Amnesty Program will start on April 3 and run through April 14. Those wishing to participate need to appear in person at the City of Palmview Municipal Court located inside City Hall at 400 W. Veterans Boulevard.

Palmview Police Chief Jose M. Trevino says this program is designed to provide needed relief for individuals who either forgot or couldn’t afford to pay the entire fine. “We encourage individuals who have outstanding tickets to take advantage of the two-week period because they can clear their record with us for less and avoid getting arrested.”

The Palmview Municipal Court is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  To find out if you have an outstanding warrant call (956) 432-0300 and select the prompt for municipal court.
