PALMVIEW, Texas (February 6, 2024) – David Gutierrez is Palmview PD’s newest Lieutenant. He was promoted in late December filling a position left vacant after Lt. Arnold Sepulveda retired and it became official on January 3, 2024.
Lt. Gutierrez is an experienced law enforcement officer who started his career in Palmview nine years ago. His first job here was as a reserve officer before being assigned to patrol for three years. For the last five years, he has been a detective in the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and oversaw the Internal Affairs investigations for the department.
He will now be in charge of the department’s Communication Division, CID, and Internal Affairs.
The Palmview City Council recognized Lt. Gutierrez during a recent Council Meeting. He was joined by his family who proudly helped him pin on his new badge.
The City of Palmview congratulates Lt. Gutierrez on this well-deserved promotion and wishes him much success.
