PMDD Recognizes Two Outgoing Directors For Years of Service

PALMVIEW, Texas (February 1, 2024)-The Palmview Municipal Development District (PMDD) last night recognized two of its longest-serving directors. Vice President Javier Ramirez and Director Joel Garcia decided to step down from the board in order to allow other Palmview residents to serve on the board.

Garcia who currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem on the Palmview City Council has been a member of the PMDD since 2017, having served as President, Vice President, and Director.

Ramirez also on the Palmview City Council has served on the PMDD since 2021 and served as Vice President, Treasurer/Secretary, and Director.

They were each presented with a special plaque of appreciation for their dedication, commitment, and leadership during their tenure.

The PMDD Board consists of seven community members who are appointed by the City Council to serve two-year terms.  The role of the PMDD is to stimulate economic development and growth opportunities within the City.

Both Garcia and Ramirez have served as good stewards in pushing for economic prosperity for existing and new businesses and have worked diligently to attract new companies to create more job opportunities in the community.

For their years of service, the Palmview Municipal Development District extends a well-deserved thank you to Mr. Ramirez and Mr. Garcia and encourages the community to do the same.
