Parks & Rec. Facilities
The City of Palmview Parks & Recreation Department operates a range of recreation facilities to host sporting events, classes, recreation, and social activities.
Submittal of this request form does not guarantee availability for the facility and date(s) requested. Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be held without proper documentation and fees.
NON-RESIDENT & RESIDENT
One field, all day (includes lights) – $300
One field, up to 5 hours – $40/hour
Lights for one field – $30/hour
Game Prep Fee for one field – $100
In addition to rental fees, a deposit will need to be paid by the renter in advance of tournaments. The deposit is $500 per complex. Additional fees may be assessed to the renter, depending on the length and type of tournament, to cover expenses for the city to facilitate the tournament.
This facility is a gymnasium, multipurpose room of about 13,000 square ft.
This athletic facility has spacious athletic fields, 4 baseball/softball fields, 2 basketball courts, walking trail and a pavilion.
We currently have 4 baseball/softball fields, 2 basketball courts and spacious athletic fields available for reservation.
Pavilions can accommodate 50 to 300 people and reservations are for the entire day. Each has barbecue pits, water, lights and electrical outlets.
Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be held without proper documentation and fees. Reservations can be made by calling (956)432-0310 or by visiting City of Palmview Parks & Recreation Office, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Cash, credit card, money order or check accepted. Checks and money orders should be made payable to “City of Palmview .”
Pavilions are rented per day. Reservations are all-day and on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Deposits will be refunded if facilities are left clean and free of damage. Reservations canceled within seven days prior to the rental date will incur a $20 cancellation fee. Pavilions may be used if they are not rented, but no access will be allowed to kitchens or restrooms.
Fields & pavilion deadline
Monday-Thursday rentals must be made no later than 12 p.m. one business day prior to the desired reservation date. Friday-Sunday rentals must be made no later than 3 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the desired reservation date.
A security deposit is required for rentals. Portions or all of the deposit will be forfeited if damage, extra maintenance, or extraordinary cleanup occurs as a result of rental. Deposits will be refunded on the following conditions: (1) terms of your rental have been met, (2) facilities are left in good condition, or (3) cancellation procedures have been followed.
Cancellation & refunds
Cancellation refunds more than 10 days: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, at least ten (10) days in advance of the originally scheduled date, a full refund of fees and deposits, including security deposit, will be returned to customer.
Cancellation refunds less than 10 days: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, less than ten (10) days but more than 48 hours in advance of the originally scheduled date, deposits, including security deposits, will be forfeited by the customer in favor of the City.
Cancellation refunds less than 48 hours: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, less than 48 hours in advance of the originally scheduled date, all fees and deposits, including security deposits, will be forfeited by the customer in favor of the City.
Cancellation due to inclement weather: At the sole discretion of the City, if the event cannot be held or rescheduled due to inclement weather, fees and deposits, including security deposit shall be refunded to customer.
Deposit refund post event: If the facility is left to standard and required keys (if applicable) are returned within 24 hours, the customer’s deposit will be refunded.
All refunds are processed within 30 days of request by check. No cash refunds will be issued.
