About

The Permits & Code Enforcement Department is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of our residents.

The Permits & Code Enforcement Department approves all new construction and proposed improvements of existing structures to make sure they conform to all adopted building codes and city ordinances. Final approval of all plans, permits and inspections rests with this department, assuring owners of sound construction.

For the safety of our citizens, professional, well-trained Inspectors insure building standards are met. Information is available to walk you through the permits and inspections process. Please feel free to contact the Permits & Code Enforcement Department at 956-432-0300 (Ext. 2) with any questions you may have. We are here to help you through the building process.

The homeowner is responsible for seeing proper permits have been obtained before work begins on their property, and that inspections are called in 24 hours prior to needing inspection.

When you need a permit

The City of Palmview is a Zoned City, and we do require permits to be obtained from this department BEFORE work is started.
